About Company
Kahramanmaraş Paper Industry and Trade Inc. was established in 1988 in Kahramanmaraş and commenced its operations at the end of 1989 with the PM1 paper machine, which had an annual capacity of 40,000 tons, producing papers used in corrugated board manufacturing.
Our Kahramanmaraş factory is built on an area of 200,000 m², of which 50,000 m² is indoor. In 1997, with the commissioning of the PM2 paper machine as a completely new investment, the production of Greyboard began. With the modernization of the PM1 machine in 2007 and the PM2 machine in 2015, the total capacity has been increased to 200,000 tons per year.
Thanks to the machine modernization carried out in 2023, the production capacity of PM1 was increased by 40%, raising the total capacity to 240,000 tons per year and enhancing product quality. As of 2024, the processes of transporting and storing the paper reels produced on the PM1 line have been digitalized with an intelligent weighing, strapping, and labeling line integrated with unmanned systems in line with the Industry 4.0 approach; the automatic transfer of reels to the storage area, synchronized with the warehouse management system, has begun. In terms of production capacity, Kahramanmaraş Paper has ranked among the leading companies in its sector in Türkiye, steadily maintaining its growth and becoming one of the most preferred companies in the country’s paper industry. Our company, which started its journey as Kahramanmaraş Paper Industry, continues under the MMC Paper brand as of the last quarter of 2024.
Since its establishment, Kahramanmaraş Paper has been recognized for its production of Fluting and Testliner for the packaging industry. In recent years, the company has introduced innovative paper types designed for various industries. Through its in-house R&D and product development (P&D) efforts, it has expanded its product portfolio to include a variety of paper and cardboard products for the construction, textile, furniture, metal, plastic, electrical-electronics, and defense industries. By succeeding in producing various types of paper that were previously 100% imported in Türkiye’s paper industry, the company has helped reduce the country’s import dependency in this field.
Aiming to develop products and strategies that maximize its competitive strength, Kahramanmaraş Paper Inc. ranks first in Türkiye’s paper industry in terms of product diversity. Our company is the first producer in Türkiye of Gypsum Board and NSSC YSM paper types. Kahramanmaraş Paper Industry and Trade Inc. has established an Integrated Management System by obtaining ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, and FSC™ certifications, thereby guaranteeing the quality of its products and services to its customers.
